resume normal speed

resume normal speed
An expression used by ATC (air traffic control) to advise a pilot that previously issued speed control restrictions are deleted. An instruction to “resume normal speed” does not delete speed restrictions that are applicable to published procedures of upcoming segments of flight, unless specifically stated by ATC. The pilot may not adhere to the minimum speed if so required in the interest of flight safety.
